Refund policy
Last updated: 31 October 2026
This policy explains when you can get your money back for mailchecker ("mailchecker"). It forms part of our terms. Payments are taken by Paddle.com, our merchant of record, who handle refunds on our behalf.
1. Monthly plans
- You can cancel a plan at any time from the billing page. It then runs until the end of the period you have paid for and does not renew.
- If you ask within 14 days of your first payment for a plan, and you have used few of its credits, we will refund that payment. Credits already used are not refundable, so the refund may be reduced by the credits you have used.
- Renewals are not refunded once the new period has started and credits have been used. Cancel before the renewal date to avoid being charged.
2. Credit packs
- Unused credits from a pack can be refunded if you ask within 14 days of buying it.
- Credits that have been used are not refundable. Credits that are already spent on verification cannot be returned, because the check has been carried out.
3. When we will always refund
- You were charged more than once for the same purchase, or charged by mistake.
- The service did not work for you because of a fault on our side, and we could not fix it in reasonable time.
- The law gives you a right to a refund, for example the statutory cooling-off period for consumers where it applies.
4. What is not refunded
- Credits that have been used.
- Results you disagree with. A verdict reflects what a mail server said at the time of the check; see the result codes page. Unknown results are not charged in the first place.
- Accounts closed for breaching the terms.
5. How to ask
Write to [email protected] from the address on your account, with the invoice number or the email you used to pay and a short reason. We reply within 2 working days. Approved refunds are paid by Paddle to the original payment method; they usually arrive within 5 to 10 working days, depending on your bank. You can also contact Paddle directly through the link in your receipt.
