Privacy

The short version

We never send email to the addresses you upload. We ask each address's mail server whether the mailbox exists and record the answer. We do not sell your lists, and we do not use them to build a directory of addresses for anyone else.

What we hold

For your account: your email address, a hash of your password, and your billing record. For verification: the addresses you submit, the verdict and reason for each, and the mail server's reply.

How long

Uploaded files and their results are kept so you can download them again, and are deleted when you delete the list from your account. You can delete a list at any time, and doing so removes the uploaded file and its results.

Who else sees it

Our hosting provider stores the data on our behalf. Paddle processes payments and holds the billing details associated with your account; card numbers never reach our servers. Verification necessarily involves contacting the mail server for each address's domain, which means that server sees the address being asked about — that is what verification is.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for your account and its data to be deleted. Write to [email protected] and we will act on it.

Being a processor

When you upload a list, you are the controller of the personal data in it and we process it on your instructions. If you need a data processing agreement, ask and we will send one.
